2. Personal data we process

When you contact us, we may process your name, university or organisation, role, email address, telephone number and the information contained in your message. Technical information generated by normal website use, such as IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser and device information, may also be processed in server and security logs.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • To reply to enquiries, prepare quotations and take steps requested before entering into an agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To operate and protect the website and prevent misuse, based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To comply with legal, accounting or regulatory obligations where applicable (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Providing contact details is voluntary, but without the information needed to answer your request we may be unable to respond.

4. How long data are kept

General enquiries are normally retained for no longer than 24 months from the last meaningful contact. If an agreement is concluded, relevant correspondence and administrative records may be retained for the period required by Italian law, generally up to 10 years. Technical logs are retained only for the period necessary for security and operation of the service.

5. Recipients and international transfers

Data may be processed by authorised persons and by service providers supporting email, website hosting, security or professional administration, acting as independent controllers or processors as appropriate. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer will be based on an adequacy decision or another safeguard permitted by Chapter V of the GDPR.

You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
